Homeless

©  Jade Thompson
Shelter,
food,
water,
mates
is what we need to keep our race
but without a reason to live,
why keep doing it?
Hopes,
are balloons waiting to be deflated.
Dreams,
is dust ready to be swept away.
In one word it does it all.
No,
no longer,
not any more.
I no longer have dreams of my own
because my head is not mine
nor are my decisions
to the authority figure you go.
Goodbye hopes and dreams,
you no longer have a home.
