Heartbreak Poem

I wrote this about a guy I thought I was in love with.

How?

© Anna-Marie
We talked for hours about nothing at all
as the music played on
and the day turned to night.
We walked side by side in endless circles under the light of the moon.
Now you say our time was wasted and my love is pointless.
How can you say such a thing with out a hint of pain in your voice
and no tears in your eyes... are you that cold inside?
To you life is just a game that you think you can not beat.
And we are all just players you believe you must defeat.
