My dad never wants to see me.

Daddy's Gone

©  Sab
daddy was never here for me
and I don't think he ever will be
he left when I was young
and never came back
I do miss him but
if I did see him again I wouldn't know what to say
he hasn't wanted me in his life
so I shouldn't want him in mine
but I do
I miss him
I just want to see him again
every time I start thinking about him
I feel angry but sad at the same time because
I want to see him so badly
and I want him to be a good daddy but
I guess that's never going to happen
because if he did want to see me
he would have came and seen me
but he hasn't
so I guess
I'm just going to deal with life as it comes
if I like it or not

I was just wondering how old you were when your dad left? My son is now 15 years old, but was only 8 when his dad chose to leave. Your story is very touching to me because that is how my son still feels today.

I am truly sorry for your sadness and can only offer words of it will get easier as time goes on.
