Teen Depression Poem

Next Poem >>

Well, my dad always wants to change me. Like I should be a better person. He tells me what I should dress like. He tells me what I should talk like. I just want to make him proud. Except he doesn't understand the real me.

For My Dad

©  Magic
I'm daddy's little misunderstood
Always wearing my hood
With my headphones in
Never letting you win
When you tell me what to do
But I'm not listening to you

I'm daddy's little baby
And I'm thinking that just maybe
I need to make a good impression
So I hide all this depression
I need to be a better girl
I need to show the world

I'm daddy's little angel so
Just let that go
Because here I stand
Ready for you to understand
That it's time and space I need
Don't worry I need to bleed

I'm daddy's little misunderstood
And I never would
Have let me go so easily
So that I can be me
To leave me alone
You should have known
For My Dad by Magic @FamilyFriendPoems
