I remember like it was yesterday,
It was the day that you both passed.
The day you both left and did not stay,
You and Kyle had crashed.

I could not move, and I could not breathe,
I was filled with overwhelming shock.
When I heard about it I did not believe,
I just went to think at the dock.

It's been six months and some odd days,
that I haven't seen your smile.
It's your numerous laughter that I crave,
It sure has been a while.

I don't know why to this day,
God couldn't have taken the rest.
I guess he's content and I'd say,
He only takes the best.
