  4. Sleepy

Sleep has always been a fascinating mystery to me. It's something I really appreciate. When I watch little children fall asleep, it's an appealing sight, so I decided to write a simple poem about it.

  7. Mommy Will Sing A Lullaby

    • By Wendy Evans
    • Published by Family Friend Poems April 2018 with permission of the Author.

I was inspired to write this poem for my daughter who is a single parent to a beautiful little boy, my grandson, Oliver, who is 4 years old. Every night she takes him up to bed and sings lullabies to him while holding his little hand. It is incredibly moving to watch. These are precious moments and should be treasured.

    in Family Poems for Kids

All tucked up and snug in bed
as angels stand guard above your head,
Mommy will kiss away your fears.
She'll stroke your hair and dry your tears.
