Betrayed Friend Poem

Poem About Friends Finding Other Friends

Hi, my name is Kathy. I am a happily married Christian woman with 4 children, 2 walking and 2 in heaven. I like to write poetry as a hobby. I'm a stay at home mom and have a side business selling second hand children's toys. I have a great sense of humor and love to read, write, listen to music, play with my kids and loving my hubby.

Here I Stand Alone

Today we stand here alone
For sometime we were welcome
To come by and visit
Set play dates with our kids
Even named you the Godparents
Of our Miracle Baby

We had done so much together
And talked for hours
Now I guess you have found other friends
That like to have fun like us
Play like us
Swap ideas like us
Shoot the breeze like us
Who may even "love you" like us
And they look like you...
Unlike us...and I cry

For our friendship was built out of love
So I thought
Our pain runs deep as we think of why
How could this happen?
The melody friendship's groove
Has all but faded away
And I cry...

You may have dropped us and moved on
But our love for you hasn't changed
You'll see, a day will come
When those same "friends" will lend
As much support as they did before
None...but we had your back
And still I cry
My tears screaming that we will indeed miss you
