Depression Poem by Teens

This poem is one that I wrote when I was going through bad stages. Going through teenager years is hard, I've learnt to live with it

That is me too. My best friend is never there for me, so I found a new one who is there for me and understands.

I Am Your Daughter Hiding Depression

I am a pet writing of its pain..
I am a teenager living a life of shame
I am your sister making a good impression
I am your daughter hiding her deep depression..
I am the one who doesn't know..
I am the one sitting next to you..

I feel the same way. Everything is all bottled up inside me, nobody notices, or maybe they do and they just don't care.

I like this poem. I have so much hidden stuff inside me. while reading this I cried because it felt like everything the poem was saying was coming from me. I just don't know how to tell my parents that I'm depressed and need counseling..
