Sad Poem by Teens

An Empty Heart And Tortured Mind

I have written poems before, but this time I decided to share it with the world. This poem is about me and my feelings. I hope this poem touches your heart.

I’m like that. I’ve marked my body up, twice almost to death. I’m too scared to tell anyone, and when I do, people look at me like I’m crazy. Is it worth it?

I See Crimson

All I have is a couple of rhymes,
An empty heart,
And a tortured mind.

The shadows from my past
Sneak in at night.
They creep through the walls
And put up a huge fight.
I am always defeated
Each and every time.

All I am left with
Are tears and scars,
A crimson phantom,
No hope to go on.

All I see is crimson
On my wrists and on my arms
And in the hole on my chest
Where there should be a beating heart.

I see crimson
In the night sky.
All the twinkling stars you see
Are made of pretty lies.

I see crimson
On that old rusty blade
A thousand and one blessed with death
As their torture could not be tamed.

I see crimson
On those happy faces,
The mask that covers
All the unhappy places.

And I see crimson
In your eyes,
The beautiful hazel
Mixed with guilt, fear, and suicide.

I feel like this all the time: always too scared to say something. Everybody just looks at me like I'm crazy. I marked my body many times, twice almost to death.
