I remember all the things you used to say,
The way you could wipe my tears away.
I remember all the times we shared,
And I knew you were the only person who cared.

I remember always looking up to you,
When I needed advice, I knew yours was true.
Now, when I need help, I don't know what to do;
As fate would have it, I'm living life without you.

My face you could not recognize. The pain inside no
One can size. If only you could see me now. I always
Think of how, life would have been, if we could see
Each other again and again.
Mom misses you
Terribly, and wishes you never passed, even though the
Pain inside no one could surpass.

Mom is living without her dad, for that it makes me real sad.
We all miss you very much, and we would love to feel your touch,
That you had in our hearts, for a little while we'll be apart.

I know it's not just me you left,
And the pain I feel I just can't confess.
Our family, our loved ones, all hurt too;
We know what it's like to bury you.

I'm happy to hear expressing my loss touches you. This was my grandfather. He raised me and played the father role while my parents were not around. He had cancer for 5 years and hid it from everyone. Until that day came. I went to the hospital when they said he wouldn't make it and he couldn't even recognize my face he was so out of it. I remember the last hug he gave me was so long and I didn't know why until I got that phone call a little while later.
I extend my heart to you hun <3
