Just Me

Published: February 2006

To be with you is very painful.
But, you're not allowed to see.
I'm tired of being hidden,
How I long to just be me!

To show my one true color,
Oh, how different I want to be.
I don't want to be you!
I just, want to be me!

With you I'm just that little girl,
Who fell and scraped her knee,
But, Dad I know you'll love me no matter what,
So please, just let me be me.
