My Playmate

Published: September 2014

They say I never knew you
They say I never shall
But I have a secret
A secret I can't tell

For you and I are playmates
We have been for sometime
We often play together
You're always on my mind

The others called you Peepaw
For me you are the same
I have to keep my secret
And I can't tell your name

They say you were a kind man
With eyes of sky blue
But I still can't tell them
That I play with you

They think that you are gone now
If they only knew
That you and I are playmates
They wouldn't feel so blue
