Teen Death Friend Poem

Remembering The Times We Had Together

I lost a friend a while ago, and I've been thinking about him a lot lately. This poem is my letter to him. If only I could find heaven's address and mail it so he could know how much he meant to me.

I've shared your poem with my seventeen-year-old granddaughter. Her uncle, my son Clark, has just passed away. It's a beautiful poem. Thank you. Clark's mum.

Never Forgotten

They say that time heals all wounds,
But it's not that way for me,
Because all it's given me are more opportunities
To remember how we used to be.

It's been four months and a few days
Since you went away.
Every 15th of every month
I relive that horrible day.

I'm writing to remind you that I love you
And that I always will.
You held a special place in my heart.
Your death left a hole that will never heal.

I hope you have not forgotten
All the good times we had,
All the beautiful memories we made together,
The good, the ugly, and the bad.

I miss you ever so dearly.
You were one special guy.
And though you're gone beyond my reach,
In my heart you'll never die.
