Nobody Will Listen

Published: October 2009

My name is Shay
I'm the youngest of 3
My daddy is scary
he often hurts me

I'm scared to be here
in this dark room
in this dark house
I can hear him trying to find his key
he's drunk again
he's coming for me

my 2 sisters run and hide
but I cannot move
I hear the front door creak open
'oh god please help me'

his foot steps I can hear
I just cant bear what's about to happen
he swings open my door
and starts yelling at me

he stumbles over to my bed
and rips of the sheets
'no daddy please' I try to scream

he pulls of my nighty
and takes off his pants
I try to get away
but his grips to tight

that night I pray to God
'please take me to heaven, I want this to end'
