No Longer That Little Girl

If you want your parents to treat you like an adult you'd better be prepared for some fights along the way.

You're the one who made me here today
If it weren't for you I wouldn't know what to say
Sometimes we fight all the time
When we're done I feel like I committed a crime
I feel so bad
And I know you're sad
Sometimes you don't understand me
I wish you could just stop for a moment to see
I'm not that little girl anymore
So you'll have to take some slammed doors
I'll walk out and walk away
I'll be back for sure, just don't tell me I need to stay
Sometimes we need to be apart
But don't worry I won't break your heart
I try to prove my point to you
But you act like you don't have a clue
Sometimes you need to stop and listen to me
Like I said I'm not that little girl I use to be
