Mother Daughter Poem

Unconditional Love For My Daughter

I have a daughter and a son. Each year I write a little poem in my daughter's birthday card. Some are funny, but most are just about how much I love her. I love my son just as much, of course, but he isn't into poetry!

The Daughter Shop

Published: January 2017

If mothers could pick daughters
From a "Daughter Shop," I know
I would pick the precious little girl
From all those years ago.

The one I saw the first time
As you came into my world.
You've brought me so much happiness
As your life twisted and twirled.

From baby girl to little miss,
From stroppy teen to mother.
Of all the daughters I could have,
There will never be another.
