Emo Poem

Every day I hear my friends laugh and joke about emos, and one of them happens to be my friend and when I went to bed that night I imagine me in her shoes, so I wrote this poem.

I've been cutting since I turned 13. I can't even hide my sadness any more. Each day is a new battle. I just wish I could be happy just for one full day.

The Nightmare Of My Life

I hear them calling my name,
But how do I respond? I am so ashamed.
I watch as my friends tease and laugh
At something that is so unfortunate.

How could they possibly be so cruel?
Man, if only I could tell them; if only they knew.
I play along as much as I can
Until I can't take it and go off on them.

I yell and I scream and I hear them mutter
She's a cutter
Then they laugh, while I just scream.
Good thing this was just a dream.

I'm a girl....that's always in pain.. but I hide it well. To where it looks like I'm "fine". Inside I'm falling apart..
