A Week In Heaven
She hugs and kisses her loved ones at Heaven's gate,
Then shares with them the joy of her new found fate.
She goes on and on about the ones she left behind,
It's going to take a while, because she was Grams to all mankind....

The words you spoke so wisely
Have never been so clear.
All the lessons that you taught me
Still remain right here.
When my grandmother died, I felt so empty because she was the closest thing I've lost. She was there for me when I needed her the most. And every special day of my life she was there: 1st day...
She wasn't like the other grans,
Spoiling kids with sweets,
The minute you stepped out of line,
That slipper's off her feet!

I lie here every night thinking of you
Tears fall from my eyes feeling so blue
Why did you leave me all alone
You got your wings and off you have flown...
This is a helpful poem even though I understand that she is in good place I ' stop crying and sobbing I am just 9 and I also know she's missing me too.
Grandmother, whom I adored ever so much
No longer here on earth, but in the heavens above
Oh how I'll miss your smile and your laughter so big and full of life....
I loved your bright blue eyes,
Now I cannot see them.
Nevermore...

I see you in the window as you wave goodbye to me.
I hear you say a drop of milk as I go to make tea.
The stories of your life sounded like straight from a book.
Your adventures inspired me with every step I took.
Grandma's room is empty; she moved away.
She departed this life and is gone to stay.
There was no struggle, but with great ease
she closed her eyes and took her leave.
I am thankful my poem touched you in some way. Sorry about your lost but remember that love heals wounds, even God's love.
From a place high above,
Where angels float in the sky,
To the very ground I walk on,
My Nanna watches over me,
I went to work, and got the worst phone call ever. My Nan had suffered a stroke. I sat beside her bed 4 days in the hospital watching her slip away. It was the hardest time of my life .. Such...
You're not that far away.
I can still envision your smile.
God brought you to be with Him,
But I'll see you in a while.
