I Know My Life
My girlfriend is now my wife
It happened 30 years ago and changed my life
I have heard people complain as they age of what they may have missed
My girlfriend is now my wife
It happened 30 years ago and changed my life
I have heard people complain as they age of what they may have missed
Being a young wife myself and reading this I started to cry, the love you have for her is beautiful. I love your poems they are very touching.

We got married today seventeen years before
My love for you at that time was a little immature
As we are moving forward in this busy life
I am very proud to say that you are my wife
We've been married for the last fifteen years
Your role as wife deserves three cheers
Our family has gotten your full care
You do everything for the kids' welfare

A day I remember oh so well, that day, June 17th, it was great.
That day, a special day, the day that my life was changed in 1978.
I waited on this special day, a wait that seemed so very, very wrong.
Like a flash of light your life appeared
With a touch so soft, a voice so sincere
I thought your love would never come my way
But it was worth the wait for that special day.
My husband and I have been together for 3 years 7 months and tomorrow is our 2nd Wedding Anniversary. I have been looking at poems that really FIT our relationship and I really love this one....
When I was young, MOM and DAD,
I remember saying that I would never leave your side,
Now I have grown and see the love you two share.
I now realize that's the way life is.
This poem makes me happy because in this day and age there are not many families that stay together... this poem is very humble and sweet.

Ten years, a husband
To you, my Darling Wife.
A gentle hand, a smile,
Changed the way of life.
Great poem. I am coming up on ten years with my wife, eight years of marriage. This poem says a lot and hits close to home. Thank you for sharing.
Best,
Adam
