1. Open Arms
The day you were born,
you touched my soul.
You were the missing link
that made my life whole.
Children are the ultimate gift to two people who love each other and the ultimate inconvenience to parents that don't. There is no bigger responsibility, and yet a relationship with a child can bear the greatest rewards. Children intuitively know when they are wanted and when they are not. The way that they raised from the cradle will affect the people they will become. There is a famous saying that children spell love T I M E. There may be many compelling reasons why you cannot be with your children but none of them can replace time. It is gone forever.
The day you were born,
you touched my soul.
You were the missing link
that made my life whole.
This is a beautiful poem. I'm the mom of 3. I have two grown daughters. They light up my world like they did when they were young. I'm blessed to have a grand-boy that I'm extremely close to....

Lord, help me be the Mother
You've chosen me to be,
One parent with a loving heart,
The mother of my three.

Thank you, God, for
The children of mine
Who teach me things
That blow my mind.
This is exactly my prayer for my two sons and for my upcoming baby. I am really touched by this poem. Love it!!!
I have two sons, one of them is with me and my eldest is with my mom. As...
Mommy, do you love me?
Of course I do, dear!
Let's snuggle a minute,
Come sit
Same scenario between my daughter and I ten years ago when she was 15. It broke our hearts, but we let go and let God. Didn't hear from her for almost 3 years. Then a mutual family friend...
I never thought I could love someone
The way that I love you.
I'm completely fascinated
With everything you do.
These values, considered to be outdated, have their own charm and importance. Love, after all, is the backbone of any society. Even plantation, animals and human beings long for love. Now, in...
I see you looking at your children,
Wondering what their lives will be.
If you verify some answers
Then their future you might see.
I loved this poem. The list of things that should be given to our children to have an amazing journey through this life, it's all here! This poem contains so much wisdom! Beautifully written....
If I could, I would remove all your fears
If I could, I would remove all your tears
If I could, I would make life painless
If I could, I would give you all your courage
Sticky fingers, tangled hair,
scattered crayons everywhere.
Fancy artwork on the wall
drawn by little ones three feet tall.
I love it. Exactly what my children do every single day.
If I didn't know where you came from,
If you had a different name,
Or perhaps you were a different color,
I would still love you the same.
Words can hardly describe
how much you mean to me,
the love I felt inside
when you looked up at me.
Let kids be kids; just let them be
Princesses, pirates; let the bath be the sea!
Let them stare at the sky and find animals in the clouds.
Wow! A truly amazing poem with a beautiful message for parents. Childhood is a special period with so much joy, innocence and wonder. It is a delightful stage. Besides, so much good can be...
The two of you will never know
How much my love has grown
To be blessed by two
When others have so few.
What can you give to one small girl?
A diamond ring, a baton to twirl?
A pretty pink dress with lots of bows,
or dainty sandals that show her toes?
The poem has touched very much. The poet has nicely and successfully narrated her feeling toward a child who needs nothing but love. I appreciate the poet and hope to get more poems of this...
Bandage scraped knees. Kiss away fears.
Watch their heartbreak and dry their tears.
Teach them to know what's right and what's wrong.
Show them how to be gentle and when to be strong.
Perfect advise set out in a simple way, to the parents of our new grandchild
A mother's heart is the key,
The key to success.
A mother's heart is a ribbon
That ties your future together.
How beautiful you are! I wouldn't be happy without you, Mom. Oh Mom, I will never forget you!
Famous Poem
Most every night when they're in bed,
And both their little prayers have said,
They shout for me to come upstairs
And tell them tales of gypsies bold,
Grandpa sat with cigar at his side (rarely in his mouth), his bushy gray eyebrows and mustache crouched in intense concentration, a chess piece or book in hand in most of my memories. But...
I received a gift on that faithful day
Of which I know I could never repay,
Just as God came down to say
He just gave one of his Angels away.
I am too a pampered daughter and I loved reading your poem, it touched my heart. Thanks for sharing
My children are very smart.
Both of them have a great big heart.
They both are growing up each and every day,
In their own unique and special way.
It seems like only yesterday
With a teardrop in my eye
That you were born into this world
With a whimper and a cry
To my baby girl, Larissa Coleman. No matter where you are, remember to hold your heart 'cause mom is with you.
Full of laughter
Never ending dreams
When the sky reaches out, you'll see me
When the night is full
