21. Forgetting You
There is a time to love
And a time to forget
A time to get rid of
And a time to close set
There is a time to love
And a time to forget
A time to get rid of
And a time to close set

The looks, the heat
Every smile, so sour, so sweet.
I had known you made me complete.
Everything I needed, I never wanted more,

This addiction, my worst enemy
Has gone from days, months, to years
It's taken over my life, haunted me
It's become my biggest fear.
I was really good friends with this guy. He made me smile and I made him smile. After months of being friends he starts making gestures. He would ask me to hang out or hold my hand, and he...
I miss you in silence
And every moment in between
But I’m a little busy unfolding
Those pieces of who I used to be
One has to find themself, I agree, and not be totally reliant on somebody. I know because I was never allowed to live freely; now my independence I treasure dearly.
Famous Poem
We, unaccustomed to courage
exiles from delight
live coiled in shells of loneliness
until love leaves its high holy temple
The earth spins like a rolling ball.
Stars shine bright then fade away.
Darkness melts and turns to light.
The sunrise starts another day.
You were my boat, sleek by design.
I was your jetty, one of a kind.
We were deeply in love and made for each other,
And I promised I'd never harbour another.
You were like a shining light
Into the darkness of my life
I was taken back by the way you smiled
I knew from the start you'd always have my heart.
The intentions are real
But the truth is untold,
Patiently awaiting the lies to unfold.
Her heart shatters with the thought of his touch.
I still remember the moment we met
The time we shared, I'll never regret
That summer in the sun we spent together
I can only hope you'll always remember
It's done and it's over
I'm through with misery
No more sadness
No more you and me
Only seconds
to fall in love,
to be immersed,
to want someone.
You made me trust you,
You made me love you,
You made me dream that you were the one for me.
Today I will leave
And without a fair trade.
I don't care if this hurts you.
It was your bed you made.
We've connected through times of joy
Even through times of pain
I can see right through your show and
Unfortunately, I have to let you know
You passed my life
Soft, gentle, and unpredictable
Like a floating cloud
Let them miss you.
Let them wonder what wild joy you’re chasing,
why you didn’t think to invite them along.
Let them hear your laughter from afar,
These teardrops beside me flow,
From a quiet, happy, thankful soul.
The years taking their expensive toll,
Her beautiful smile a grand seed to sow.
I don’t know
what healing
is meant
to look like,
I'm very fond of short, powerful, poems, and this is one for sure. Recovery can be the hardest thing we do, but it's always, always, worth it. Good write/read.
When you left,
I immediately deleted your number and pictures
and pulled our memories from the wall.
This is my strength.
