Until it affects someone we love,
We don't even know it's there.
    It's really not our problem,
    So why should we care.

  3. 22. Living A Lie

I wrote this poem when I was going through a really bad time with my depression. I was trying to explain to someone who has never suffered with depression how it makes you feel. I find writing poetry very therapeutic, and it helps me to express my inner feelings. I have written many poems, a lot of which are about different stages of my depression, as I see it.

  6. 24. The Daily Battle

The inspiration behind this poem stems from a daily struggle with self-image in this day and age. Not feeling good enough for others as well as not feeling good enough about yourself also plays a part in this poem. It's the daily battle of trying to feel accepted and the struggle of learning to love yourself.

It is the darkest, deepest place one can travel to alone,
A solo journey filled with struggles and groans.
Every day is a new battle against the same foe,
But the enemy fights back with psychological blows.

  8. 26. Do You Know

I wrote this after my husband of 10 years decided that he did not want to be a "Husband." We have a terrific 7 year old son who has been handed something that I, at 38, do not yet know how to handle. I do my very best, for my very best (my son).

  15. 33. The Ending Start

Hi. My name is Ethan Wulf. I'm chronically depressed from the death of my mother and grandfather, who was my only father figure, and I'm a very discontent person. But I try not to complain because I know nobody likes a complainer. I'm 17 and I'm sick of high school. I'm sure we've all been there, right kids? Well, I'm not much on introductions. If you really actually care to get to know me and about me, just read my poetry. Thanks for your time.

I've written everything I have to say,
But the words, they rot and fall away.

And slowly sinking just in sight of shore.
