  1. 141. How Can You Say You Care?

    • By Jennifer
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems March 2016

I wrote this when I felt so frustrated. I was then inspired, and the lines just came to me. I think other people can relate to my poem too.

Another day, another hour, another minute,
Another smile, another tear I thought was worth it.
Another wound that's hard to heal and hard to close,
Another path I have to take, not something I chose.

  2. 142. Have You Ever Felt So Alone

    • By Caitlen Marshall
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems July 2012

There was a time I was so low in life. I didn't know where I was going or why I was going there. So I started writing things that shown my pain without expressing it by self-abusement. I was the 'emo' in school the one with all the friends, the one that cared so much about her image, she didn't realize she was hurting her family, her friends, but most importantly herself. She wanted the life everyone thought she had. Only few knew her pain.

Have you ever felt so ignored,
    So unloved?
    Bringing back the memories,
    The times of a dove...

I know how you feel really, I have had a painted smile for two years, it's really bitter.

  3. 143. Masked Emotions

    • By Destiny
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems May 2012

This poem did not take all that long to write. My emotions are just below the surface that I hide. They are so real to me that I can explain them is anyway possible.

    There is something about me
Everyone wonders what that could be
    could it be my smile
    what about my laugh...

  4. 144. Painful Memories

    • By Jessica Stockinger
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems November 2011

One day I was in math class and I just started writing. At first I thought I was writing for a friend who is going through tough times, but I was really writing about myself. When you read this don't feel sad for me, because I'm not. I got through this and hope that by letting people read this it will help them too.

Pain is not an emotion I know
    Yet it's all I know
    I can't feel it
    Nor can I heal it...

  5. 145. It Doesn't End Until It Ends Me

    • By Nashley R.
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems May 2013

I suffer from depression and usually after crying I write down my feelings for the night and then cry some more. These poems just describe me.

As the nights become longer, my strength starts to weaken.
My stomach becomes hungrier and I soon start to break.
The sky seems like home, it's where I'm soon destined to be.
I am no longer strong, I can no longer fight. ...

This poem is absolutely breathtaking! I have been depressed for about two years but it still changed my life. It makes you grow up to fast, regret the joy you never had. Know that somebody...

  6. 146. Inside Of Me

    • By Victoria
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems June 2010

I wrote this poem when I was going to a new school. I wanted to express myself in a way that I never did before, by reading poetry and singing. To be noticed and not just the new girl.

    inside of me
there's a girl you do not see
    she's nice, friendly, and talented
    but she'll never be me

I always gotta think how hard is it to live another day it this world. Being Depressed, Worried, stressed & tearful made me put my feelings into words. This poem is all about how much I suffer inside my heart as a 13 year older. I hope you'll enjoy this poem !

    Thinking about my Life
    Crying in every minute
    Never hoping for something

  8. 148. What's Wrong Now?

    • By Cj
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems June 2009

This poem is about confusion. Us teens go through emotional time, sometimes for no reason at all. sometimes for reasons past our knowledge or understanding.

Why in my world the sun sets in the east and doesn't rise at all?
The blossom on the trees don't fall and embrace the ground as snow would in winter.
The birds don't sing and raise you up out of bed in the morning,
They scream and make you curl up in bed at night....

  9. 149. Feelings Of Regret And Loneliness

    • By Jamie Nixon
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems December 2007

    love, friendship and loneliness.

    Afraid of regret
I take a breath and try to deal with the battle that is set
My heart tears me one way
In opposing corners my best friend and my mind

  10. 150. Pain At Its Strongest

    • By Emmilyne
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems July 2012

Hi! I wrote this poem a while ago and I had some friends read it. Eventually, majority of my friends read it and all told me to publish it online or something. So here I am typing (?) this poem hoping people will have the same reaction as my friends.
    Hope you enjoy!

The world is crumbling in around me and it's all landing on top of me
I'm all alone carrying every one's weight.
Every one's tears, pain, loss, and regrets.
I am no hero, nor am I a savior....

  11. 151. I Know Loneliness

    • By Erica Williams
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems October 2013

I wrote this poem due to me feeling alone inside recently. Two of my very close friends who used to hate each other are becoming really close. and they're leaving me in the dust. Right now they are having a sleep over... loneliness was my muse.

I know all about my ABC's and 123's,
but I don't know how to just be me.
    I know I have a heart,
but I don't know why it's so easily ripped apart....

  13. 153. Who Is She?

    • By Kayla Brooks
    •  Published by Family Friend Poems March 2009

The reason I wrote this poem because it helps me let out a lot anger and sadness. Because I am an 11 year old girl with type 1 diabetes. Also my mom has sickle cell anemia and she smokes. And the sad about it is that she says that she wants to be in my life but always out with her friends and never home with me. I also wrote this because I feel that God put me on this earth to make fun of me. But when I think of it I know he put me on this earth for a reason.

    she is lost
    afraid
    afraid of everything
she doesn't know where to go...

I love that now it gives me the courage to feel comfortable because God chose me for a reason. I'm also an 11 year old girl, and I'll be faithful and am blessed that I'm still on the Earth.
