Keep Going
Hope can be lost, faith can die.
Friends can betray you, and family can lie.
Names can be forgotten, but never faces.
Infatuation can be fun, but love always wins the races...
Hope can be lost, faith can die.
Friends can betray you, and family can lie.
Names can be forgotten, but never faces.
Infatuation can be fun, but love always wins the races...

I wake up in the morning to the cries of hurt and anger
I wish I'd wake up to cries of joy and laughter
I wake up every morning hoping it will all be gone
But the fighting the war has only just begun...
I wake up this mornin',
Mom's yellin' at me.
God what do I do,
That makes her so unhappy....

We are all girls,
Together the same -
We are also different, yet alike
There is no one to blame.
I'm so glad everyone liked my poem! Just soooo nervous that I should of Copyrighted it or something - I wrote poems about everything so if anyone needs help or anything, contact me! Thanks...
Filled with sorrow she stands,
Icy tears fall from pain-filled eyes and drops in the sand,
She puts on that painted smile,
She is there, but her mind is away miles,...
This generation would rather be encircled by people who encourage them to fight their brethren,
than encourage them to unite as one body.
This generation spends more time on social media acquiring "followers,"
This poem is very powerful on a lot of levels, I agree with you 100% about this generation. Good job keep it up :)

The smell of weed
Surrounds my street
The sound of cars
Never let me sleep...
Jennifer,
As a teacher and as a caring person, your poem spoke to me. You have a gift so make sure you use it!
My life is like a circle
There is no specific place to start
My life is like a curvy dirt road
It goes on too far...
Little wildflowers sprout from vines.
They're plain and weak but so divine.
Elder wildflowers burst from the ground.
They're intricate and strong but very proud.
I'm from cute boys that break your heart
To best friends that never will
I'm from soakin' up the sweet summer rays
to chillin' in the cool winter...
This was beautiful and every touching. It's every similar to the recent struggles I'm having in my life. Thank you for writing this poem and letting me know I'm not the only one out there.
