I followed the moon,
Or did it follow me?
I turned a corner;
It was still there, you see.

I tried to trick it.
In the shadows I hid,
But the moon kept on watching.
That's what it did.

A cloud passed before it.
Now was my chance,
But the stars in the sky
Never could lie.

I walked on through the night.
The moon followed me home,
Or did I follow the moon?
I don't quite know.

If I had a brother, I'd like him to be
Happy, good looking, cheerful, and free

If I had a sister, I'd like her to say
She'd be my best sister day after day

If my brother were older, I'd like him to be
Protective like King Arthur and always mind me

If my sister were older, I'd like her to be
A shoulder to cry on a true friend to me

Now if my brother were younger and I was the boss
I'd let him keep worms and bright green frogs

And as for my sister being younger than me
We would dress up with crowns, make-up, and gowns

But as I have neither, I don't have to bother
About having a sister or brother

You should always keep a spider
At least one in every room
Give them a little corner
With an offering of food

They'll spin away at night
And they'll hunt for you by day
Keeping your house clean of pests
In their very special way

So do not go hard with insect spray
When bluebottles and flies come your way
Remember the little spiders
Who hide themselves away
