Poetry by Kathy J Parenteau
My mother means the world to me. She is fighting for her life because she has cancer. I wanted to honor her with this poem. She came from poverty beyond what most could imagine. When she was a little girl she wrote a letter to Santa. She didn't use postage. She just placed it in the mailbox. The mail man read the letter and got together with a local church to make mom's dream come true. Her dad was a very proud man that would not except charity, however this one time he graciously excepted.
I wrote this poem because in my life I've made mistakes along the way. God gives us free will, however we don't always make the right choices. As I've become older I have a much closer relationship with the lord. I strive to do his will each and every day. I am blessed with a beautiful family and a wonderful life. God bless all and may you put your life in his hands and do his will.
My mother suffers from a very rare form of cancer. I wrote this to help ease the pain I'm feeling watching her suffer. She is not just a mom, she's my very best friend. She's never let me down. I believe in heaven and I know where she is going but it still doesn't make this any easier for me. I hope others facing a loss of a parent can read this and find comfort in knowing that life after life is real, heaven is real and one day we will all be together again.
God bless.
I wrote this poem over twenty years ago when I become a mother myself. I have the most courageous mother. She is battling cancer and fights for her life each day. I gave this to her for Mother's Day all those years ago and I just wanted to share it with the world. Time heals all wrongs. Life is so short, and none of us are promised tomorrow. God bless all the Mother's in this world. I thank God for my mother and every day we have.
I am a very hard working middle class citizen who is tired of the government taxes I have to pay every week! Trying to find a little humor in it.
I wrote this poem when my children were young. I think everyone young and old alike can relate to a Yucky Chucky Tucker. I remember going to school with a young man just like that. Things sure change as we get older lol. Hope you enjoy
I love to write funny poems for adults and children. I wrote this years ago for my children to enjoy. It also helped them enjoy reading. I hope you enjoy as well.
I lost my Mother to cancer 9/2/2012 I wrote this in her honor. She wasn't just a mom to me she was my best friend. My heart breaks for anyone who loses their mom. May you too find comfort in these words. God bless
For all who have lost a mother my heart goes out to you. My mom passed away from cancer Sept 2,2012. I wonder if my heart will ever stop breaking. Her pictures are in my locket and I wear it every day. She was a wonderful mother and I miss her more than words can say. I know she is with the Lord now and not suffering anymore and someday when God calls me home I will see her again. God bless
