A Love Poem For Valentine's Day

My class had to write a Valentine's Day poem, so I wrote this. I don't have a boyfriend, so I'm posting it here so people can use it for their lover.

Roses are red, violets are blue
I'm glad that we met, and I think you are too
You brought me sunshine when I saw rain
You made me laugh when I felt pain
You made my dreams come true
You opened my heart to the wonders it could do
When I'm away from you, I feel blue
You know that I'll always love you
Listen to me, love
We have come a long way
I'm very glad to say
I wanna spend my life with you
Starting this very day
Though life may go separate ways
I wanted you to know
If you ever need a hero,
I'll be here to save the day.
