MaMa Said A Prayer

She bowed her head, closed her eyes,
As she began to pray.
She said, "Dear God, watch over her.
Keep her in Your tender care today."

She prayed for strength to keep you strong
And joy to fill your heart with song.
She prayed for courage, prayed for faith
To keep you going on.

She asked that life wouldn't be too hard.
She prayed for wisdom and for grace,
That whenever you felt overwhelmed,
You'd feel the love of God's embrace.

She told Him of her love for you,
How a mother's love will never part,
How she carries her concern
In a place called MaMa's heart.

MaMa said a prayer for you.
She knew that God would hear.
She spoke this prayer to a loving God
For someone very dear.
