Depression Poem by Teens

The Light At The End Of Depression

This poem is displaying the struggles with depression and how when in depression you don't want anyone to know about it. Then you realize you need to tell loved ones that you are suffering with depression because you can only do so much for yourself.

Depression is an ocean
A sea of emotions
Depression is a war
A constant battle within yourself
Depression is silent
A way you control it is in silence

Depression is common
But unlikely to be seen
Hidden by its victims
Mistaken as a weakness
The tears you cry are so many
You can't hide your struggle
But some days you hide it better than others

Depression can be conquered
With the help of your emotions
You must show others you struggle too
To help others you must help yourself first
Love yourself unconditionally
Then others will be able to love you too
