Boyfriend Poem

This poem is for my boyfriend. Simply for being him and showering me with all that love. Around him I'm myself, plain yet elegant, pretty yet beautiful..that's how he makes me feel. A step higher than reality. Love..love with all your heart, for when you find true love, there's nothing like it..trust me...cheers to love!

Eternally Crowned

© Zahara
I wake to the touch of a morning sun,
Softly teasing my eyes apart.
I feel your arms tighten around
Sealing yet another
Non existent space…
I turn around to face you
Feeling blessed for the millionth time.
I stare at your sleeping self
Murmuring a silent prayer of thanks…
At a dark dark time you were sent to me
To shed some light on my weakening being.
I held on tight to you secure hands
As you pulled me out of a painful mess…
I found the smile I thought I had lost
I found love so serene and pure
I found your eyes so full of care
As it healed so well my bruised soul..
I kiss your brow slow and soft
Anxious not to wake you up…
Tears form spelling my love
I see your eyes open up
Just as a drop runs down my cheek
I feel your hands brushing it off…
That I know is the art of love
I was gifted with
And eternally crowned…

  • This poem has reached inside my heart. It touched me, I enjoyed reading it thoroughly. The person who wrote this poem is great and has the potential to become a poet. From my point of view I loved it. Next year I will be writing this poem into my Boyfriend's card!! Thank you for sharing this poem. It is great, beautiful and inspiring to all the young children out there that want to become poets themselves. I, would like to become a Teacher, maybe I could do a lesson on poetry and show them this particular poem!
