When I first met you
I felt like I had known you forever,
telling you my secrets
and what I didn't want ever.
you listened to me
I bet you thought I'd never end,
who would have thought
we would become more than just friends.
Over a period of time,
I got to know the real you.
A boy so caring and gentle,
with a heart so true.
You've survived your life
with hurt and loneliness by your side.
I told you I'd never leave
because of the feelings I have inside.
I know you
like no one I have ever known,
and sometimes I wonder
what I'd do if you were gone?
So I have decided
time answers all.
If it is meant to be
time will remove the wall.
I love the way we are together,
you can always make me smile.
Will it ever really be forever?
I guess I will have to wait awhile.
Time will reveal, what lies ahead
but always remember
what I have said.
Meeting you has changed my life
and I really love you so,
the feelings I feel for you
I am never letting go.
Remember me always
and I will too.
I always think of
me and you.

  • Me and boyfriend have not been dating that long but it feels like forever. everytime that I am with him he makes me feel like this poem did. this poem really made me think that when you have someone that you really do care for and like that you have to hold on to them and to not let them go. and I hope that me and my boyfriend are together for a long time because he treats me just like this poem says. Nice, sweet and caring and when I am with him I can act myself and he loves me and he does not care that I look like or anything like that. always calls me beautiful. And he makes my day by just kissing my forehead. he is great and I don't want to let him go.

  • It's a wonderful poem. I am reminded of my childhood crushes. The first time I had a crush was when I was in class VI. I had fallen in love with my distant cousin. Then it was a girl in the neighborhood. Then I had fallen in love with another of my first cousins. Finally, I fell in love with a girl who was in my college. But nothing worked into a fast relationship. Ultimately, an arranged marriage with my present wife did the trick. I have come to love her after my marriage. I don't believe that a life partner has to have similar nature to have a happy, loving and married life. As far as a happy marriage is concerned, opposites attract. Are there any takers?

  • Me and my boyfriend have been together over a year now and it really does seem like I've known him forever! He's always making me smile, no matter what mood I'm in. He's loving, caring & gorgeous! I wouldn't change him for the world. this poem really did make me realize & think how lucky I am to have an amazing boyfriend! I love him too pieces & would hate if anything went wrong. he's told me he wants too spend the rest of his life with me :) soo I'm well excited! he's always calling me gorgeous, beautiful, his one and only :) etc. he is always making my day when he comes in from work giving me cuddles and kisses :). I don't want too let him go! X

  • My boyfriend and I have been dating for quite some time now, and I'm starting to think it will last a long time... He treats me like he knows everything and he knows when I'm sad. Everytime I cry he'll hold me close and ask, "What's wrong?" Once, he noticed I was doing something bad to myself... I was cutting myself... He held me close and told me that he was there for me no matter what, so I told him what was going on and he hugged me tight and swayed back and forth slowly... I still remember that day like yesterday... We've been together for three months now and I'm loving it. I never want to let him go, but I know what I must do if he does leave me... If it really loves you, it will come back. If it never had love for you, it will never come back.

  • This poem is a perfect description of the relationship that I have, we felt so comfortable with each other from the very beginning. We speak freely with one another, enjoy each others company and now we share love for one another. I have given my heart to him hoping that he will hold it gently like glass forever. I know over time people change they always do. I just hope time doesn't change his feelings for me because of the age gap. I have found the love of my life, thinking I never would. I hope the love he has for me is enough to stand the changes and feelings that time brings..........hopelessly in love.

  • This is totally about me and my boyfriend. It makes me cry a little bit. When I first met him, yes, I felt like I had known him forever. I told him my secrets and everything. I really love him but... He lives so far away from me. Like thousand miles away. But we're not going to give up. That's what we are gonna do.

  • Sometime all you can do is wait to see if the others person heart feels the same ways yours does. And if God has meant for you to be together, you will be. I have learned that I have to wait on God and let him make some of my decisions for me. It is just that this man is the one thing that makes my heart feel whole when I am with him or just when I hear his voice it makes feel like I have all I need. I pray every night that God will watch over him and help the both of us and guide us to where he wants us to be in life and pray that it is the one thing that one prayer that he answers for me that I so truly want.

  • Me and my boyfriend have only been together for a little over 3 months, but I feel like it has been years. I know him better than anyone else and he knows me just as well. We are so close and nothing will ever be able to separate us. He actually recently proposed, knowing we have to wait until we graduate, but that's how much we care for each other. It may seem like forever now, but we are going to make it forever somehow.

  • 6 years ago I was afraid telling him how much I love him, but when I finally did, I realize he's the perfect guy for me, he said I'm what he's been waiting for...we're four months now, it's been like we've been dating for years. this poem is just about how I feel about him, how he's been to me and how much we long to be forever.

  • Me and my boyfriend have been together for almost 9 months now. I've loved him since 8th grade, I never knew how to tell him. I moved the beginning of 9th grade so I never had a chance to tell him. When school started again I transferred back to his school 5 weeks before Sept 5th 2011. My feelings had remained the same throughout all that time away from each other. on Sept 5th 2011, I admitted my feelings. I found out he felt the same. Now all we want is to spend eternity together and to make each other happy

  • My boyfriend and I are coming up on our 3rd anniversary and we have a beautiful baby girl, and a home together, but sometimes we still are unsure of the whole "forever" thing, not because we don't love each other but because we both have been hurt in the past. When we met he had just gotten out of a 7 year relationship, and I a 3 year so for us to have made it this far together is a miracle for me, all I know is no matter what happens!

  • When I was 15 years old I fell in love with a man who was 19..we got in trouble with the law. But still continued to stay together. When we got in trouble the second time with my parents we couldn't talk for 2 years..except a few phone calls every month. Now that I am 18 and graduated high school, he is working and 22. On my 18th birthday he met my parents and also proposed to me..we are getting married in the fall of 2013..this poem describes everything about our past. I love it.

  • I'm a very poetic person and this made me happy but it made me feel completely cheesy and giddy when my best friend read this to me. :)
    I've known him for 3 years and we've been dating for 2. Sadly I'm moving to Oregon till I graduate and then he's going on his mission but he's got hope that I will go unscathed in my life in Oregon and hopes that I can find good friends and such. But I won't be able to see him for 4 years. So this poem when I heard it made me smile and gave me hope that it will work. My dad died earlier this year and this boy is the only guy that's in my life like family other than my 2 brothers.

  • My boyfriend and I haven't been together for that long but yes when I met him I felt like I had known him forever. He was the sweetest person I had ever met and I knew from the beginning that we would be together forever. Now were together and I feel like the happiest girl in the world. He makes me so happy I don't know where I would be without him or what I would be doing! I love my boyfriend so much and I couldn't be any happier, he's the one that makes me happy, even though everybody in my family thinks that he's wrong for me I love him and that's the only thing that matters !   • I only met my boyfriend just last year and it feels like I knew him forever. I love the way he smiles and phones me so many times at work that it feels like he can't let me go. He seems over protective but that's the one thing I love about him. He makes me laugh and smile, holding and comforting me.

  • My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost 1 year. Our anniversary is on the 13 of December, the day after his birthday. Before we started dating I had lived next door to him for about 8-years until finally this last year I took notice of the short scrawny boy who had grown a good 6-inches and gained quite a bit of muscle over the summer. I realized one day, on the bus ride to school sitting across from him that he was extremely attractive. From that day on I was infatuated...and bugged him so much until I made sure I was the only girl he was associated with and was going to date. We were in love...I knew I was so lucky to be with a guy like him. But good things don't always last the way you'd like them to. About three months into our relationship my little 4 year-old sister was diagnosed with medulla blastoma (an aggressive form of brain cancer) and well living in Longview, the hospitals weren't so reliable with their chemo treatments. Our only choice was to move to Vancouver.

  • My story is the same here. I write poetry and this guy I have known less than a year is my boyfriend. We are that perfect for each other. It started out as only being friends then I got to know him more and realized he was the one. We have nicknames for each other and we text each other everyday and well now we are together. We had some quarrels but, nothing serious and all I can say is I love him.

  • My boyfriend treats me with so much respect and after reading this poem it has reminded me of us. We have been together for 2 1/2 years and don't know what I'd do if he was gone it would hurt like crazy.   • My boyfriend and I knew each other in high school but never came to the thought of dating then we hit college and here we are over a year now together and I still get butterflies when I see him. Even though he wants to leave for the military this poem really expresses how I feel. I love him more than anything and I'm so proud to be his.

  • My boyfriend and I have been together 7 months and it will be 8 months on March 4th, 2013. It truly feels like we have been together for years!!!! He treats me like I'm the only one there. He literally will rub my back and my feet if I ask him to nicely, he is an amazing guy. I can't even explain how he really makes me feel. As songs say you put me on cloud 9. I love him so much words can even explain how much I need him in my life :) the best thing about my boy is when I'm not having a good day or I'm feeling down he is there for me to hug and to hold! I love him!!!

  • This poem is just talking about me. I met my boyfriend two weeks ago, but it feels like we've known each other for forever. My boyfriend is something else, I don't know how to describe what we feel for each other because words alone can't express the feelings.
