Such a wonderful poem with precious advice! Most people seem to get inevitably entangled in the most peculiar behaviors so specifically characterized in homo sapiens:
He gets tired of his childhood and hastens to grow up; then he becomes nostalgic about his childhood. To gain wealth, he would endanger his health; then to regain his lost health, he spends wealth. He lives as if he will never die; then he dies as if he has never lived. He thinks about his future so much that he loses today, while life is neither past nor future, but the present.

I absolutely loved this poem. Live life. There is so much wisdom in these valuable words. If only everyone could live their lives by these standards it would be a happier, better world. Wonderful poem!

Thank you for sharing. The circumstances of life we all grow to understand are tools. Tools for which we need maintained and are overlooked often. It's easy to become lost and depressed when your focus is no longer seeing potential and achievements. Allowing others to frame decisions, make judgement, and employ actions in yourself that are uncharacteristic. Giving up is an option. The choices we make develop and give shape to the future. We can never forget that we are not the only ones affected by decision. The key, I feel, is the integrity and strength given to us by God as gifts, to encounter and embrace good and bad trials. To put knowledge into action, resulting in wisdom. Allow your heart to work in tandem with all elements. Find love in yourself to love yourself. Thank and appreciate life. It can be spectacular and fulfilling when we, at times, stop to really smell the roses.

A poem like this deserves to be shared with the world , so many people out there live a life completely sheltered and never know what it can be or is about. It tells truth but also motivates. I have to stand up in front of my wrestling team and read out a speech and in it I think I will share this wonderful poem .

Yes it was very up lifting. In theses time life can be hard, and to hear words of faith and belief is very soothing.
