War Poem

A letter to her daddy as he goes off to war.

Please Daddy Don't Go..........

© Nicole D. Carrillo
Please Daddy don't go so soon,
The thought of it makes me swoon.
I cry and cry and that's NO lie.

You've been with me since I was born,
With you away my heart will be torn.
Nothing will be able to stop my tears,
until you return in a year.

The time will draggg......

But everyday I'll put up our flag;
as I think of you ship away.
So think of me while you're gone,
as I try to remain very strong!!
