Remembering The Start Of A Relationship Poem

This is about a girl I met in sixth grade. I thought I never had a chance with her, and now she's my girlfriend.

The Way I Truly Feel

I remember the first time we met,
I knew I never had a chance with you,
I remember looking into your eyes,
I saw the love and happiness in your soul,
I remember the way I truly felt.

I remember waking up each day thinking I got to see you,
I always knew there was something special about you,
I remember when we first started to talk,
I never wanted to stop,
I remember the way I truly felt.

I remember looking past your beauty to who you truly are,
I started to get a funny feeling in my lower stomach,
I remember having a dream about you,
I knew that you didn't feel the same way back,
I remember the way I truly felt.

I remember when we started to become close,
I always liked you deep down in my heart,
I remember you telling me you felt the same way back,
I never could have been happier,
I remember the way I truly felt.

I remember asking you to go see a movie,
I wasn't sure how things would go,
I remember holding your hand for the first time,
I knew then I wanted you and no other girl,
I remember the way I truly felt.

I remember standing close to you talking,
I wished we could have more time to do it again,
I remember taking your hand in mine and getting close to you,
I didn't know what to say and didn't know how I felt,
I remember the way I truly felt.

I remember thinking what it would be like to lose you,
I didn't know what to do,
I remember hearing you like me so much,
I couldn't imagine my life with out you,
This is the way I truly feel.
