Mothers Day Poem

The things that my mom does for me

When I Was A Small Child

© Joao De Leon
When I was a small child.
you held my hand and smiled.
When I got hurt I would cry.
you would giggle and dry my eye.
life has difficult decisions and you were my guide.
you taught me how to decide.
you told me that the bad should be denied.
and that family should never be put aside.

when I was a small child.
I was a little wild.
as I grew I've done a few wrong things and it's true.
there's a lot of things I've wanted to tell you.
and when we have problems we always make it through.
but one thing that I want you to know is that
I LOVE YOU.

MOM I Love YOU!!

  • This poem touched me in many of ways because... when I was growing up I did some bad things, even though my mom did her best to teach me right from wrong... I have always been scared to tell her all I have done because I have a brother who puts her in a enough pain... but she has made me the person I am today... she never gave up me...even though she might of wanted to sometimes... I love her so much... thanks mom

  • Truly touching poem on a mother. It is rightly said that God couldn't be everywhere. So He created Mothers!!! I loved this poem. Kudos to the poet!!!
