Dark Poem
I wrote this when I was in the seventh grade and got it published in 2007. I got most of the poem out of how I felt about my father's death at my young age. While the rest came out of my English teacher's rush to get it done and turned in.
Hidden Things

I had a dream
I was poisoned with distress
hidden deep in the weeping willow
where all things are dark and gloomy.
It's a place where all time stops
nothing move, noise
just sadness
there's so much grief
you can't imagine the pain
in your heart.
When you're there it seems like you
go in a trance
from all the sadness surrounding
your life and others.
Was this just a dream
or
Reality?
Pain is something you can NEVER escape.
I was poisoned with distress
hidden deep in the weeping willow
where all things are dark and gloomy.
It's a place where all time stops
nothing move, noise
just sadness
there's so much grief
you can't imagine the pain
in your heart.
When you're there it seems like you
go in a trance
from all the sadness surrounding
your life and others.
Was this just a dream
or
Reality?
Pain is something you can NEVER escape.
