Fall Poem

Poem About Autumn

This poem was written quite a while ago now. I have had a couple of poems published in books, so I thought I'd share one with you. This poem is about Autumn, a time of year when everything goes from beautiful green, to a kind of dark and lonely season, with the horrible weather.
Thanks

Descending leaves fall to the ground,
Twirling, twisting, round and round,
Autumn season is almost here,
The smell of freshness is oh so near.

The crisp, cool breeze,
Shakes the leaves from the trees,
Autumn takes away the green,
Golden-bronze and brown is all that can be seen.

I love this poem on autumn. I just wanted to share that autumn is my favorite of the four seasons. I love autumn because of the leaves changing colors and falling to the ground. I love autumn because of Thanksgiving, pumpkin pie, pumpkins, and Halloween. I also love autumn as it is the season to start wearing knitted sweaters.
