I'm Sorry Poem for Friends

I fell in love with my best friend & then I fell in love with someone else. I screwed up my friendship with my best friend by telling him to get lost, I hated his guts and I never wanted to talk to him again. I want him back now because that other guy is not worth losing a friendship of 16 years.

Trustful Friend

© Julie Martin
there was this one friend I could always trust
this one friend was always with us
he saved me in more ways than one
he made me smile when everything was wrong
then one day I screwed it all up
that day at the derby I think he heard me
I spoke from my heart as I was falling apart
as I pressed send I should have known it would end
I should have hit delete; then I wouldn't weep
I cried all the way home; I felt all alone
I want to tell him now
he's the only one my dad would allow
to talk to me at midnight
to see me in the daylight
does he realize
that in my eyes
there are tears from the many fears
of losing him forever?

If I said I was sorry would this friend of mine let me know in some way that he forgives me? If not I completely understand I screwed up the one and only friendship that I NEVER wanted to lose.

I'm Sorry!

  • My best friend is named Ben, we text all day and all night every day. Ever since last year though I've wanted to be more then friends. turns out he did too he broke up with his girlfriend for me. I loved him and I still do, but I was stupid. my friend and I played a trick on him we lied and screwed up big time. now he doesn't trust me and thinks I'm a liar. I'm so sad.
