Abuse Poem

This poem is for any women that's being abused. You can get away but you just have to have the will to do it. I know because I had been there.

Battered Woman

© Edelwina Asinas
Battered woman
When you going to learn
He doesn't love you
Your on your own
The beatings hurt
The scars ain't gone
But sooner or later
Your soul will be torn
What's it going to take
For you to just leave
One last hit or until
You can't breathe
Battered woman
I know what your thinking
It's your fault for what he's doing
You blame yourself
Over and over again
You ask yourself
Will this abuse ever end
He's going to keep doing it
It's all up to you
You just have to gain the courage
To move on and start new
It's not going to be easy
Take it one day at a time
The hurt will subside and you'll finally have
A PIECE of MIND.

  • I have a page called W.O.D.A. (Women Of Domestic Abuse) on Facebook. This poem touched my heart for me being an advocate for abused women. I had to share it with others, that someone cares and yes, you can get out. being a child of God, lead me to create this page and I research online to aid them that hurt.In my family this poem would help my nieces that live in terror everyday. their low esteem and hopelessness needs to be lifted spiritually pray they read this poem , It is a reach out to help for them.
