As I Watch You Grow

I have been trying to figure out how to put these feelings into words and I read this and this was it. My daughter is 16 today and needless to say this made her day. Thank you for your wonderful knowledge and wording. I cried reading it the 1st time and every time since and I think I saw a tear in her eye too.

My daughter is turning 16 in just one more week and was looking for the right words to express my feeling and how much I love her. Then I come across your heartfelt poem. I had tears in my eyes as I read it, because word for word is exactly what I want to tell my daughter. I'm going to share it on FB adding a few pictures of her from when she was a baby to present. I am 16 years old. I currently live in Indiana with my mother and my boyfriend. I have a daughter. Yes I know I'm young but she means the world to me. There isn't anything I wouldn't do for her. My boyfriend is her biological father. I knew from the moment she came into this world he was going to be wrapped around her little finger. As am I. She is honestly a blessing. Before we found out I was pregnant we were very heavily into drugs. Doing anything and everything that would gives us a change and take us from reality. But the day we found out I was pregnant we stopped. Never touching it again. She is really our miracle. She saved both of our lives and then some. I honestly don't know where I would be without my baby girl.

Tears rolled down my cheeks when I read the first few lines.

The poem hit me where it should, straight to the heart. It communicates my current thoughts beautifully and will mean as much to my daughter who is away to Canada to excel in Tennis.

I am blessed with two daughters and both are away for higher studies. Now that I have superannuated I have plenty of time to remember and miss my daughters all the more. Reading these poems I just want my daughters to know that no matter where they are they will always be in my heart and that both me and their dad are proud of our daughters and their accomplishments.

Thank you for this poem. My daughter is going to be 21. I love her so much and we are the best of friends. She has been riding horses since was 4 and I have been to every lesson and every show and we are still doing the same. We have bonded though the years so tightly that words can not express, but this poem is perfect for me to share with her on 21st birthday when I know that she now is a woman.

Thank you so much for sharing this poem. I can't believe that you have said everything I am feeling for my 17 year old daughter.
Communication has been tough lately and feel like I have lost a piece of her. I intend on sharing this with her in hopes of the beginning of a new start.

I am a father that has a baby girl turning 18 on 9/7 I was looking for something that really spoke to the true depth of my love for my daughter. This did just that, I posted this on her FB for her to read, I mad some minor changes to reflect her mother and I so it came from us both. My 14 year old daughter did something really silly and as a result of this she thought I would love her less. I have tried so hard to reassure her this is not the case and that I will always love her no matter what... I'm not the best with words but this poem said all I needed to say, like someone else I cried when I read it I just hope that when she reads it later today she will realize I love her more than life itself.. she is my first born and was very poorly when she was little and I thought I might lose her then and that nearly destroyed me, to lose her now because of one mistake would kill me...

A beautiful poem, that says exactly how I feel about my daughters. I think this will be perfect to share with my eldest daughter who is turning 18 tomorrow on the 6th January. She is so kind hearted, so lovely, my first born and a real pleasure to have been blessed with. She is a friend to me also, very emotional, so I'm sorry if it makes her cry. I've always believed in her, and always will.

It touched me a lot! I have an only child on this earth and that's her, unfortunately I started leaving her with my brother at the age of 5 and now am back in the country as she is turning 17 and have just married! She doesn't like the step dad and I feel very bad and guilty because she is always isolating herself! I wish she could know how much I care about her.

Yes this poem made me cry too, this poem is just what I have been looking for. I find it difficult to put into words my feelings and I wanted to write something special but real, and like Louise's my daughter will be 18, tomorrow, so thank you for sharing and I will now share this with many others.

I was feeling really bad and hating myself about two hours ago. I started crying and my mom came in and hugged me and told me she loved me. And she told me that she would always be proud of me even if I was doing bad in school, which I am because I've been slacking off. When I got on my Facebook a few minutes ago I found this link which she had posted on her wall and said it was for me. It made me so happy and now all my bad feelings are gone. I love her so much.

I want to tell my daughter all these things but unable to express. hope she reads and understands me. she has never been a problem to me and I feel I could not have got a better daughter than her. sometimes she is like a mother to me. This is a beautiful verse. This is a very beautiful poem.

This poem actually made me cry. My oldest daughter and I were/are best friends, but we seem to have grown apart.

I have been hard on her at times, but it's only because I care so-ooo much for her, and want her to do better than I have, and I know she can do it.

I hope she will read this and forgive me for not being the best Mom that I could be, and hopefully understand that that is what I am trying to be.

I love her with all my ♥.
