A loving poem written to a daughter with best wishes for a happy, healthy, wealthy and joyful life.

My Daughter

To my Natalie,

The light of my life,
The joy who is so full of life,

The only one in the world to me,
That reminds me that she loves me,

The one that always greets me so happily,
Hugs me and kisses me so joyfully,

I hope that there will never come a day,
That you tell me you are going away,

I hope that you will always be healthy,
Happy, joyful and wealthy,

Even when you become an old lady,
Remember that you will always be my baby

I am sorry if I was ever mad,
Just to think of it makes me so sad,

If I was ever restless with you,
Short-tempered or tasteless with you,

When I am not there someday,
Remember my spirit will guide your way,

Keeping you away from any harm,
Insuring your health and charm.
