Thank you for this lovely poem. I lost my grandma last September to cancer in four places. I didn't even want to start to think about life without her here. I know it will be hard, but I have people around me who care and support me in my time of need. I wanted to find a poem which best describes my grandma for her one year anniversary in September. This poem shot me in the face. It describes my grandma in the best way it can and the best way I wanted to describe her.

Thank you very much for sharing the best poems I have found. My grandmother passed away 20 years ago. There is not a day goes by I don't think about her. She taught me how to Love and to forgive. Think Positive Always. My family is turmoil and I know she is not happy. I have tried to make sure they remember but I have to take care of me and I know that is what she would want me to do.

I lost my grandma going on 10 years ago and when I read this poem it reminded me of her and it felt like she was by my side. I cry a lot like she died yesterday. I miss and love you grandma. Thanks for always bring there for me. I will see when God calls me to come home. May your soul rest in peace.

I'm a great-grandmother who has been mostly raising my great-granddaughter alone. I am a widow. My husband died of Lou Gehrig's disease two and a half years ago. Granddaughter had baby, didn't care for it. Daughter didn't want to care for her so I took the baby 20 months ago. Just worked to get custody back to mother when she decides to put her up for adoption. I am heart broken. Please encourage me that a 66 year old woman alone can raise a child successfully. I can support her but I need respite care. My health is good, I'm just tired. Please, I love this baby. Suggestions please.

When I read this poem it made me cry so much I wanted to burst. It was just that way on May 14th when my great grandmother passed away. I miss her so much even though I have hardly ever seen her.

this was a really sweet poem and today my grandmother is in the hospital because of a stroke and I love her but I just don't have a clue what to do or if she will be ok but ....................your poem has given me hope thanks tons -Arlette Xerox

This poem touched me very much! My grandma passed away June 13th 2010 of kidney failure at a hospital and her last words were spoken to me she said I love you my brave angel :(

thanks so much for this poem..my grandmother died 3/18/07 at 9:15 PM. and I was holding her hand when they unplugged the ventilator. I cried for 2 weeks straight. I could barely stand to go to the funeral...she was my everything.(:

This is a really beautiful poem. I lost my momaw last night, and it is soo hard. She was like my second mother. It described her perfectly. I LOVE YOU MOMAW!

My Nan passed away suddenly two days ago.
Her funeral is on Friday.
I am truly grateful of this poem.
I am having trouble letting go, as it doesn't seem real to me yet.

I last looked at my grandmother 13 years ago. this poem brought her back to me. I was the only child who sat on her bed, my name was the last thing she said. She loved me. thank you for this poem.

In my eyes that was a beautiful poem. See I just lost my grandma August 4th 2009 to her battle of brain cancer, she was my everything, my back bone when I needed her to be. She was pretty much like the second mom. She will be greatly missed by all her grandchildren, her kids and her great grandchildren. Just like I said that was a very beautiful poem. :)

I love this poem such an amazing job. My grandma is not doing so well and I want to read something at her funeral and this is so perfect. This made me cry but made me think of all the good memories I have with her.
