Mother Poem

A poem from daughter to Mom expressing her love and thankfulness.

A Poem For Mom

© Champagne S. Baker
You are the sunlight in my day,
You are the moon I see far away.
You are the tree I lean upon,
You are the one that makes troubles be gone.
You are the one who taught me life,
How not to fight, and what is right.
You are the words inside my song,
You are my love, my life, my mom.
You are the one who cares for me,
You are the eyes that help me see.
You are the one who knows me best,
When it's time to have fun and time to rest.
You are the one who has helped me to dream,
You hear my heart and you hear my screams.
Afraid of life but looking for love,
I'm blessed for God sent you from above.
You are my friend, my heart, and my soul
You are the greatest friend I know.
You are the words inside my song,
You are my love, my life, my Mom.

  • Hi Champagne,
Thanks very much for sharing this very beautiful poem. It's so touching it made me missed her more.
That exactly describes my mom. I and my siblings are just so lucky having given her to us by God. And if I were to live my life all over again, I'd still want only her as my mom. It's her birthday today and it's just so sad celebrating without her. Can't help but cry knowing that she's no longer around and never will be. :(
Know that we will always LOVE YOU FOREVER AND EVER, Mother, and will never forget you...

  • Hi, loved it so much, yes I cried, it's so relevant to how most mothers are. My mom is 87 years, going strong, but I feel sorry for her now as we 8 daughters of her have left the house after our marriage SHE LIVES WITH HER ONLY SON, so she feels lonely and lost some times. Watches TV and does her prayers all the time. Anyways she has been GR888888 MOM TO ALL OF US

  • Well this poem is the best poem in the world. My mum is the best mum anyone could ask for but when I gave her the poem it made her even more special then before I didn't cry when I read it. It just made me know that is just like mine. It's my mums birthday soon and I am definitely going to give this to my mum she will know that she is the best. Any child is lucky to have a mum that is the best. Well any person loves their mother because she is the one that put you in this world. I am 12 years old and I love my mum very much. BYE
