My Granddaddy, My Best Friend

My Grandpa died a year ago and I had to look for a poem to read at his funeral. This was the one.
It touched so many people that day and I thank the person that wrote it.

I have lived with my grandparents for almost 8 years and watched my grandpa suffer a lot. I never thought this would happen but as he lay in the hospital yet again I know he was my best friend. This poem touches me in so many ways I just wish I knew for sure if he would live to watch me grow up> Good luck in the future. :'(

Hello my name is Christine Paulo Samoan only 15 years of age and yea! :( this poem has touched and also healed me a lot because my grandad just passed away 10:30 today its very sad, but what's more sad is that he lives in the islands but I'm in new Zealand so I haven't really seen him for about six years!!!!!:(:(:(:( very sad but I am going back to the islands for his funeral hehehe:(:(:(

I love this poem, my grandfather has been there for me no matter what and still is there for me. He has never stopped loving me. I am 15 years old and the only one of his grandchildren to still sit on his lap. I love my grandfather very much and he is my best friend, and the best friend that is always true to me and he is always the one that I can run to about anything. My grandfather was there when my real dad wasn't and he is still here and my real dad isn't. I wish every girl could have a grandfather like mine.

It's my grandfather birthday today. I really needed a poem for him and had no time to write one . I felt sad and remembered our best buddy :internet. This poem was the best !!!

Today was the day my grandfather passed away but when I read this poem I feel like he is with me and I can feel his hugs. I miss him very much but I know that he is still with me to the very end. I lived with him for 14 years and now he has gone. I am now 17 and all I have left are my pictures and memories of him.

This poem reminds me all that my grandfather has done for me!

My grandfather is my best friend, and he even says that I am his favourite so I love him. He supports me in every problem that is too difficult for me to solve. I know that my grandfather is special and I know that he will always be there for me no matter what. This poem shows the love between a granddaughter/son and a grandpa. It's my grandpas funeral today..and when my nana passed away I put a poem on her coffin when I was leaving the crematorium and I am going to write this poem out and put it on my grandpas coffin because its so true..:'(

My father and grandpa broke up three years back. Before that I have lived five years with my grandpa, and the day we broke up, from that day I miss him a lot. I love you grandpa and I miss you too!
