Mother Poem

A daughter expresses love and thanks to her mother

My Mother

© Brittany Kelley
You are my mother
and always you shall be.
There is no other,
who better understands me.

You gave me life,
and everything else I ever needed.
My love for you is beyond life.
Everyday I am alive I feel better,
with you here.
My life has always been so clear.

I will never be anyone’s daughter but yours.
For that I am lucky,
and have been for nineteen years.
Not once have I felt unlucky.

A time will come,
when I move out for good.
Then and only then will I become
the woman we knew I would.

Mom, what I am saying,
is that I Love You.
Everyday I am praying,
that you are always here to help me through.

I Love You!
I cannot say it enough,
and one day you will get your due.
For being so tough!

This is to my mother, I love her
