Sister Poem

A girl writes about the special bond between her and her sisters. They are not always together in place but they are always together in spirit. Sometimes they fight, but nothing will ever break their special bond.

Three Sister's

© Francis I. Gillespie
We are three sisters
Three sisters are we
I love each of you,
And I know you love me

We’re not always together,
Life sometimes keeps us apart.
But we're never separated
We’re in each other's heart.

Now I know we've had our troubles,
But we always get thru.
The real message is you love me,
And I also love you.

We have had lots of good times
That we'll never forget
Sometimes we worry
And sometimes we fret

But if God ever gave me
Something special you see,
It might have been the blessing of,
Three sisters are we.
The Lord above has gave me lots
Of happiness and glee
But the most special thing he did was
Make us sisters, all three.

I am the oldest of three sisters, whom I love very dearly. My youngest sister is going through a very difficult time. Her daughter, was killed September 3, 2008 in a deadly auto accident. She was her only child, 27 yrs old, the same age as my daughter. They grew up together, living on the same street. Our family is so distraught and my heart weeps for our loss and especially for my dear sister. Your poem says it all. Thank you

I am also the oldest of three sisters, a Bond so deep you actually feel their pain physically. I lost my sister and nephew also on 10-14-2008 in a tragic car accident, my nephew was 3 and my baby sister 29. I pray God brings you comfort and please do the same for my family. This poem is something only real sisters understand. God Bless.

I am the middle of three sisters, we lost our Mother this year in March, we are sharing looking after our Dad, at present, I think this poem reflects how we fell about each other, and the bond between us, we try to help each other as we unite in grief.

I am the middle of four sisters and we have three other brothers, I love them all with all my heart and would not trade them for the world even though we may fight and argue, we will always love each other and I will always be there for them.

I am the middle of the three sisters. all of us are happily married but we still miss the childhood that we spent together. We share a bond that is indefinable and this poem truly speaks my heartfelt emotions for my sisters.
I really wish my elder sister and her just delivered twins (who are under intensive care in the hospital) a speedy recovery, and let her know how I miss being with her at this time of her life.
God Bless
Keep smiling

Well, it's not your own story Francis but the story of every girl who is loyal to her family. I'm the oldest of three sisters and your poem expresses exactly how I feel toward them. They are my whole life . I love and respect them even in times of hardship. We sometimes fight, but quickly forgive each other. Believe me I never slept before I kiss them all goodnight.
Thanks Francis for your poem. God bless all sisters who are like you.

I lost my Mother on Nov.30,2008 and my sisters and I are all so lost. We all live in different states and its so hard dealing with our loss apart. We still manage. But today my middle sister called to chat and BAM! she starts crying because she thought I stopped loving her. Well you know that's wrong but she is missing my Mom so much and things have been going on in both our lives that we haven't been able to do the "sister talking". So this poem has hit the nail on the head. My oldest sister's husband keeps telling her we are going to forget her since Mom is gone. Now that's a horrible thing to say to anyone so again this poem is perfect!!
Thank you

I am the third of four sisters. and this poem says it all. Like all sisters we had our ups and downs but we always knew that we loved each other. I lost my youngest sister in 2002 she was only 45 yrs. old I was completely devastated. Now in 2009 I have lost my remaining sisters one passed away on Jan.16th. and the oldest passed away on Mar. 18th.we had her service yesterday.
It hurts soo bad. Sisters are so special you can tell them things that you can not tell anybody else. So those of you who still have sisters cherish them every day of your lives and never take them for granted because you will not know how much you miss them until they are gone. There is a special place in my heart set aside just for them.

I have three daughters who are the best of friends. This poem fits them perfectly. Their father was murdered Oct.27,2008 and I Thank God everyday that they have each other to lean on. Two of them live very close to each other and the other lives about an hour away. It is especially hard for her being far away but they remain close in heart

I'm the third to be born I have 3 brother's and 2 sister's, I just lost my baby sister 21 yrs old and expecting her first child In may by a drunk driver 1-01-10. It's been so hard for me and my family the pain is so deep I never knew my heart can take this much pain she is missed so much . We never imagined that the day after my brother gets married we would be making plans to bury my sister who was so full of life and couldn't wait to be a mom. When I start to cry my three year old say mommy don't cry tia Elaina's in the sky she lives with Jesus don't cry and now all we can do is pray that god gets us through this pain. I wanted to see my sister in a hospital bed holding her son after giving birth instead we laid her to rest with her son on her tummy , life cut short because of a man who got into his SUV, three times the legal limit and drove right into the back of her parked car as they sat and waited for Triple A . I love you sis R.I.P Elaina and baby Romeo

If anyone of them went out of my life I would cry all day and night, but we are not separated, thank you god. We call ourselves the enemy sisters but we really are the best friends and I love them soo much!! :)

I am #5 of what was 6 sisters. We lost our baby sister to cancer 10 years ago when she was pregnant with her baby. And we lost our second sister 3 years ago. My sisters and I are the best of friends and always have been. I am going through really hard time now and I couldn't do it without my sisters. We also have 2 brothers and are very close to them, but there is a special bond between sisters.

I loved this poem and it really touched me because I am one of six children, three of which are girls. I am the middle sister and hold a very tight relationship with both Mary Ann and Julia and I look foreword to building my relationship further. Anyway, I am on the hunt for a lot of different quotes (and poems!) about three sisters, but it has been really hard so I think I may just give them this poem. Have a blessed day, y'all!!!

I am the youngest of three sisters and there is a bit of an age gap between myself and my sisters. I love them so much, they have always been there for me and are constantly teaching me. I can't imagine my life without them. We fight and argue and get under each others skin but we still love each other. I loved this poem.

I'm the youngest of three sister we have a big age gap about 30 years. I'm 17 years old and I think my oldest sister is 43, middle 39. In Feb 2010 my mom died. My sister stayed with and still makes my life better. I don't know what I would do with out them.

I am the middle sister of three we always argue but we still love each other, but now I am living with my mom and youngest sister. My other sister lives with my dad in AZ, I miss them a lot I don't get to see them a lot, once a year. I am going to graduate this year and that's when I am going to see my other sisters and dad. The bad thing is I am turning 18 in 6 months they're not going to be here for that I really want that but they have jobs and kids they have to take care of. We don't talk a lot.
