Believe You Deserve To Live Poem

My poem is for my son, who has had many struggles. He does not believe in himself, to the point that he sometimes does not want to live. He is so talented and bright, but he cannot seem to stay motivated enough or long enough to make his dreams come true. I pray and have faith that he will make it through his times of trouble. The mental battles seem all so strong. He is my love child. Our family has been through so much our own selves. Sometimes I think that we are the ones who need the help. It breaks my heart to hear him crying out for help. But I don't know what's wrong. He was born normal with no disabilities whatsoever, healthy. Please pray for us, but most of all, pray for my son. Thank you all.

When I first felt the flutter of you tiny little heart
I thought to myself, this is a wonderful start.
I knew that you would be great.
I knew that you would be strong.
But what I didn't know is that it
would take so long.
So much time has passed and now your time is near.
So spread you eagle wings and fly away from here.
You have so much to offer and so much to give, so
please give yourself a chance and BELIEVE that you can LIVE.
