Funeral Poem for Family
This was written after a beloved uncle had passed. I sometimes get uncomfortable expressing my emotions with words. When things touch me deeply and I need to express my emotions, I write. Sometimes it comes out well and people close to me receive it as it is intended. This was used as a memorial on our family reunion booklet.
Goodbye

In our minds we always knew
this time would come to pass.
But knowing it, and living it,
has come and gone so fast.
Goodbyes are often hard to say,
they hurt so very much.
Though you're not gone.
You still remain,
in the minds, hearts, and lives you've
touched.
this time would come to pass.
But knowing it, and living it,
has come and gone so fast.
Goodbyes are often hard to say,
they hurt so very much.
Though you're not gone.
You still remain,
in the minds, hearts, and lives you've
touched.
