Family Poem about Love

A woman writes of gratitude for a relationship of love.

Thank You

© Marie S. Reitz
How do you summarize thirty-three years of love?
It's a daunting task.
Thank you is not enough!
You gave me everything...
life,
love,
time,
praise.
I'd ask for more time.
But that is all.
More love would be impossible.
Your humor was off beat.
Always smiling.
First to lend a hand.
I hope I did enough.
I can never repay you.
You'd never want me to.
I've been fortunate to have a life of love.
That I never doubted.
All I have is pen and paper...
Thank you for your generosity.
Love,
Memories,
Thank You!
