Mother Death Poem

My Mum passed away in 2000 whilst I was living and working in London as a nurse.
She lived with my father, brothers and sisters in Trinidad- West Indies.
I miss her every day and up to today I still remember and repeat some of her funny phrases and words to cheer up others. My mum was kind and always cared about others so I try to emulate that aspect of her character.

Never again will I HEAR the sound of my Mum's footsteps across the floor,
Never again will I SEE her standing at the front door.
Never again will I SMELL
the tasty food she cooked so well,
Never again will I FEEL the warmth of her smile that lit up her eyes,
Never again will I TOUCH her feet and massage in the 'Deep Heat'
And Never again will I run at fast pace,
to the phone and listen to a voice say
"It's only Mum touching base"
